This is a one year personal mentorship with the breed founder, call as much as you like. It can be overwhelming to open a dream farm on small acreage, and to navigate the addition of dogs. Mentorship covers whatever you need… and is personalized to you, your dogs, livestock, property, and setup — from breeding dog purchases, the breed standard, marketing pups, building facilities, livestock integration, how the registry works and how to support it for the sake of the breed, how to manage ties, how to decide on pairings, how to work with livestock guardian dogs and use them on small acreage, how to train pups, how to run packs, how to feed, how to direct aggression, how to understand breeding percentages and coefficients, how to read trial mating pedigrees, and anything that comes up as you begin your new adventure of adding Colorado Mountain Dogs to your life. We’re going to begin to do this through the registry to support the registry. The price is introductory. Wendy has done mentorships personally for years. She’s mentored farms with LGDs outside the breed as well.
