Posted NOV 4, 2025 — COLORADO. Dirty Hoe Acres is happy to announce the birth of seven Colorado Mountain Dog pups born August 2nd. These G2 pups were born to G4 OUM Freja (Dam) and G1 Professor MadEye Moody (Sire). Available are two females, and one male.
Freja is our alpha pack leader and the most hardworking dog we have ever met of any breed. She is never not on duty, and takes our flock's security as her utmost priority. We have never lost a single animal to predation on her watch. She is smart, tenacious, and driven. She understands boundaries and respects them, unless our flocks’ physical safety is at risk; she has jumped fences to rescue multiple hens from eagles and hawks. She is a pillar guardian for every child that visits our property. She and MadEye take their job of escorting small humans around very seriously, never straying more than a few feet from children while on the property. She responds well to most commands and has an almost maintenence free self cleaning coat and self filing nails. Freja has impressed us daily with her instincts, intelligence, drive and compassion.
Her partner MadEye is a huge presence physically, but is our heart and soul guardian. He loves his puppies, and has been in charge of nanny duties since the pups were 3 weeks old. No one is allowed to pass him by without a lean and several pets. He has won over every human who has visited the farm without exception. MadEye is the balance for our highly driven alpha, providing backup and physical size in confrontation with bears, mountain lions, coyotes, foxes, and aerial predators every single day. He is nurturing and playful with his pups, and checks on the pups every single time before offering backup to our alpha. Freja provides security to our property, while MadEye’s priority is always the safety of his charges from pups to small chicks that have gotten loose. He will standby until they have been retrieved and secured.
Now for the part you’ve been waiting for…
Orion- our largest male, and largest pup of the litter. He is spunky and outgoing and has natural guarding instincts. He is the first to alert and sound when he hears something unfamiliar. An excellent mix of both parents' personalities and strengths. Orion would make a fantastic solo guardian or pack leader in time. Orion works well with others and absolutely adores parents and siblings. He will most likely be a very very big boy, which is excellent for guarding.
Mack- such a sweet and loving pup. She has an almost even split of both parents' personalities, leaning slightly more towards dads easy going nature. Mack would do well as an outdoor sporting companion, house pet, or as a full time guardian. She would make an excellent addition to any farm, especially with established guardians. Mack is affectionate and attentive with people and enjoys the company of other dogs. She won’t be the biggest pup, but she will win your heart for sure.
Greyheart- beautiful pup, who got most of her dams (our alpha and pack leader) personality. She is a natural guardian, instinctively patrolling boundaries, moving toward unfamiliar sights and sounds. She has a fantastic relationship with her siblings, and would make an excellent addition to any farm. She would definitely do best where she can grow into a leadership role. She’s got all the qualities her dam had at her young age. She is sharp, on point, and relentless in investigating and rounding in her environment. She really enjoys cuddles and is always watching for something to defend. She’s a beauty and will likely turn out to be a fierce guardian who doesn’t miss a beat.
We are listing the 12 week old pups at $1000 individually, or $1800 for two. The best set in our opinion is Mack and Orion, or Mack and Greyheart if you are looking for a team. It’s the best match of alpha and beta instincts in our opinion.

POSTED NOV 2, 2025 - Colorado We're happy to share that we have some wonderful pups available from two fantastic litters! We’re especially excited about a purebred litter featuring 1 male and 2 females, all of whom are expected to grow into big, wonderful dogs with fantastic temperaments. The puppies are from Liberty BAUF24F0007G4 and Junior, our new stud, UUUBUAF24M0001G4.
Additionally, we have a litter of G4 pups from Kiowa UUUBAUF210101G3 and Kaycee PNP024M0001G3. At Bumbling Acres Farm, we believe in four key traits that define successful working Livestock Guardian Dogs (LGDs)—traits that are at the heart of everything we do:
1. **Attentiveness**: Building a strong bond with your livestock and staying aware of their needs, so they’re always safe.
2. **Trustworthiness**: Maintaining calm and appropriate behavior around the animals, demonstrating a deep sense of responsibility.
3. **Protectiveness**: Having a natural ability to recognize threats and react thoughtfully, protecting without unnecessary aggression.
4. **Independence and Intelligence**: Raising our dogs to make smart decisions on their own, so they can handle complex situations in the field effectively.
DNA testing, all shots including Rabies and Microchiped. 1850. Choosing a breeding program that aligns with your goals is crucial. I’m happy to answer any questions about the pairings for my litters, as I love sharing the thoughtful reasons behind the selection of sires and dams. My breeding approach blends a strong lineage with a future-focused vision to ensure the legacy and excellence of the Colorado Mountain Dog.

POSTED Oct 19, 2025 MICHIGAN Holy Trinity Monastery G5 puppies available starting December 9. We are very excited to announce the birth of 5 male & 5 female puppies out of FWF Bailey of HTM by NWF Maximo of HTM. The puppies were born on 10/14/25 and are growing well! The puppies are registered and will have received age appropriate vaccinations and dewormings. The puppies are being raised with our sheep & goats and will also be exposed to our poultry, barn cats, herding dogs, the monks of our brotherhood and some of our mamy visitors. Both sire & dam work on our farm and have lived up to our hopes of what a CMD would be. They are accpeting of our visitors while still excelling at guarding our mixed flock from aerial & four legged predators. As a bonus, they both have nearly maintenance free coats. They really have provided us with such peace of mind and joy.
We bred our pair last year and we ended up keeping one of the resulting puppies. We are glad we had the opportunity to see how one of the offspring of this cross turns out firsthand. We really could not be more pleased! Both of his parents are excellent livestock guardians but each excel in different qualities. The puppy we kept really is the best parts of both of his parents. He has his mother's superior watchfulness and eagerness to guard against aerial predators and his father's amazing disposition that is friendly, calm and simply charming. Our many guests are always very delighted by our dogs! We have also received very good reports from the new homes of the other puppies from our previous litter. We are asking $1,000. Please feel free to contact us with any questions. Fr Nick Garber 810-941-8195 agarberimat@gmail.com

POSTED October 15, 2025 — Michigan. Little Way Acres in Hudsonville, MI is proud to offer these beautiful G5 purebred CMDR Colorado Mountain Dogs from NMSR Tecumseh of LWA x GHH Alcott of LWA, litter LWA025LIT2CMDR! Born 10/4/25, these pups are going to make some amazing farm guardians. Both parents are working guardians on our small West Michigan farm, and do wonderful with their livestock charges and human companions. The pups will be exposed to chickens, goats, sheep, and barn cats, and will receive all age-appropriate puppy vaccines before they leave our farm.
Alcott gets at what the heart of the Colorado Mountain Dog Registry is looking to establish. She is calm, gentle, great with kids, and is incredibly watchful when guarding her animal friends. Alcott is the kind of dog who is happy to be outside with her animals, on walks with her people, or stretched out on the living room floor for some cuddle time with the family. She seems to know when someone has had a bad day, and tries to give comfort with her calm presence. She has been great with the kids who come to the farm, and seems to know to be extra calm and gentle around them. She is safe with goats, sheep, and chickens, and barn cats. She patrols our fenced perimeter frequently, and even keeps an eye out for aerial predators!
Tecumseh is a giant sweetheart, is incredibly intelligent, and knows what it means to be a livestock guardian dog (LGD). He is our best guardian, and is constantly watching out for the safety of our chickens, goats, sheep, and cats. He has been with our chickens since he was 8 weeks old. He is a discerning barker, and when he does bark it's so deep! He likes to meet new people and get as much love and attention as possible. Tummy rubs are his absolute favorite sign of affection. Well, right after any kind of gift of food that is! Tecumseh has so many of the physical attributes that the CMDR is aiming for. He is tall, well-boned, large, and has a well-refined face. Pairing these physical attributes with his loving and intelligent personality, we are so excited to continue his lines into future generations!
Tecumseh tested clear for CMR1 and DM. Alcott carries one copy of CMR1 but is clear for DM. Alcott has been OFA x-rayed, and received the highest rankings possible for her hips and elbows. We just mailed in CMR1 testing for all the pups in the litter, and our website will be updated with those results as we receive them.
We are asking $1650 per puppy, and are accepting reservations and deposits at this time. You can see full profiles of the litter, including parents' and pups' pedigrees, test results, and temperament information here.
Our puppy interest form is available here. If you want more information about our farm, check us out at littlewayacres.com. Please text, call, or email Katrina Curtis with any questions! 616-502-7631 littlewayacresmi@gmail.com

4ALR Blizzard — Male Colorado Mountain Dog -Ready Now for His Forever Home
Meet 4ALR Blizzard, the last of his litter — not by any fault of his own, but because his original adopters had to back out. Blizzard is now ready to find his forever family.
This handsome, soft-hearted pup has a calm and affectionate nature. During his 7-week temperament evaluation, Blizzard showed more of a family companion or couch marshmallow personality than a high-drive guardian instinct. He would be an excellent match for a loving home, family, or small farm looking for a loyal companion.
Blizzard has been handled daily by both children and adults and raised on our family ranch here in Avondale, Colorado. He’s been exposed to chickens, ducks, turkeys, goats, other family dogs, and horses, giving him a confident and well-rounded start in life.
While not a dominant guardian type, Blizzard can be trained into a livestock guardian role if placed with a mature, established guardian dog as a role model.
Breed: Colorado Mountain Dog, Sex: Male, Location: Avondale, Colorado, Price: $1,000

POSTED AUGUST 5, 2025 - Tennessee. NOW AVAILABLE! Haven Hills Farm G4 puppies are now available in Middle Tennessee! We recently had 6 female & 4 male puppies out of LDGD Gideon of HHFS x OUM Esme of HHFS. Litter ID #HHFS25LIT1G4. The puppies were born on 7/31/25 and come out of Caspian Lines! The latest pups are stunning and after opening selections to our waitlist we currently have 5 puppies available.
Gideon and Esme (now 4.5yrs old) each came to our 24 acre farm at 10 weeks and are the perfect complement to each other. Both sire & dam work outside year round and have exceeded our hopes of what a CMD would be. They only bark to alert to predators (we’ve learned to trust their instincts implicitly) and have done an incredible job at keeping coyote and stray dogs off our property. We’ve been diligent about teaching the property boundaries and it’s not uncommon for their GPS collars to show that they patroled 7-13 miles on our property in a given night.
This is a repeat litter from this pair as we were thrilled by their first litter. The testimonials on our website speak for themselves! The puppies are registered and up to date with vaccinations and dewormings. They are currently being raised near our alpaca (born in the barn next to them) and will also be exposed to our poultry, barn cats, and children of all ages who interact with them daily. We’ve recently placed other siblings with local sheep/ goat farms, chicken farms, as companions to older guardians, and as support dogs.
We are asking $1,300 or $2300 for two and a $300 deposit (per puppy) reserves a pup until pick up or transport. Puppies are now ready for adoption and can be picked up in person or transported for an additional fee. (We have a wonderful transporter scheduled that will pick up from the farm between Oct 8-10). Please be sure to reserve your spot with a deposit if you are interested. This litter is likely to sell out. Feel free to visit our website for the latest photos (https://www.haven-hills.farm/summer-25) and contact us with any questions. Our puppy application can also be found on our website.
