Available Adult CMDR Colorado Mountain Dogs
Some breeders offer fully trained adults CMD guardians, some people have life changes and need to rehome adult dogs, and some people have dogs that don’t fit in their situations, but who may flourish in another setting. Posts should specify these details. An experienced guardian has value, and placing a healthy price on your dog helps ensure his next home will value and be able to care for him or her. Posts are $25, last 3 months, and can be purchased in our store. Then email a quality photo, descriptions, and your contact info to: coloradomountaindogs@gmail.com
POSTED June 27, 2026 - Colorado Meet Diesel- Looking to rehome our sweet female Colorado Mountain Dog- Diesel (OMU G2 fixed 2yo). She would thrive with more guarding work compared to what our small 2-acre operation can provide her. She has strong guardian instincts. Diesel gets along with goats/kids, poultry, other dogs (once introduced), cats, children and adults. With poultry, she’s been around chicks, chickens, Guinea fowl, ducks, and quail. Diesel has been quick to learn and eager to please. She has basic command control (sit, wait are very good) and responds well to her name. She respects fences (4’), is trained on an electric training collar, and she doesn’t rush a gate. She has been an outdoor dog (by her own preference). She is not excessive with barking or alerting which has been great in our neighborhood setting, and she has learned what not to bark at. She can walk on a leash. Diesel has had no health concerns, weighs best guess 60/65lbs and has double dew claws. Birth date is 5/22/2024 and she is up to date on vaccines. She was spayed at 1 years old. Asking $850. For more information, call/text Miles at 720-319-9974 or email kelseycrane.kmc@gmail.com.

POSTED JUNE 22,2026 - LWA Dolly and LWA Patsy are year old females with a deep love for people and good guardian instincts. Dolly and Patsy are sisters and would make a fantastic guardian pair. They can also go separately, but there must be other LGDs for them to guard with.
Dolly absolutely LOVES people. She likes leash walks, being in the house, and any time she gets to spend with her humans. She is currently guarding our does and kids with good success. She is not completely poultry safe at this point, but she is making progress. She was initially an over-barker, but with training she has really improved in this area. She is especially responsive to a manually controlled beeper collar, and one will be sent with her to her new home. Soon after returning to our farm, she jumped one of our gates a few times. Since settling in, she has not attempted this again. She is the most watchful dog on the farm, and keeps a near constant eye out for threats to us and our animals.
Dolly would thrive best on a farm with a family that can spend time with her, while giving her a job. She does great guarding our animals and is INCREDIBLY vigilant to threats, but she loves people the most. She would not do well in a neighborhood as new or unusual sights/people/sounds causes her to bark more. She is completely house trained, and has not had any accidents in the barn or house. Due to her anxiety when she thinks she's guarding alone and her deep desire to play and rough-house with other dogs, a second LGD as a buddy is a must.
Patsy also enjoys people more than anything else. She does well on a leash, and is responsive to voice commands. She is currently living with our goat does, kids, and chickens, and is doing well in that setting. She is not completely poultry trained, but she has made significant progress in that area. But more than anything in the world, she loves to be loved on!
Patsy would do well in most settings, including as a guardian or a family companion dog. She barks appropriately and has not challenged any of our fences. She enjoys playing with our other dogs, and a second dog in the household is a must. If she is being utilized as a guardian, she needs a LGD buddy for backup and companionship.
Both Dolly and Patsy are spayed.
We are asking $1450 for each of them. You can see their full profiles, including parents' pedigrees, test results, and temperament information at littlewayacres.com.
Please text, call, or email Katrina Curtis with any questions!

Posted June 15,2026. CO. Exceptional Certified, Proven Livestock Guardians Seeking Working Home Located in Castle Rock, CO
Two 2-year-old G4 CMD sisters seeking the right working home. These girls are an outstanding team with sweet, loyal, loving temperaments and are phenomenal guardians for Nigerian Dwarf goats, and would do well with any livestock. They take their job seriously, acclimate quickly, and are excellent with children, other dogs, and properly introduced visitors. They genuinely love to love and be loved. They came from a 35-acre property and are now on less than one fenced acre bordering a subdivision. Their vigilance and vocal guardian instincts have created challenges with neighbors unfamiliar with livestock guardian breeds. Additionally, my son has developed a severe allergy to them.
Finding the right home is my priority. They deserve acreage, livestock to protect, and a sensitive, understanding family who appreciates LGDs and allows them to do the job they were bred to do. They would thrive on a farm, ranch, or homestead where they can be successful, valued, respected rather than corrected, and deeply cherished. Both have strong maternal instincts and would likely make wonderful mothers in the right breeding program. Royal, in particular, is exceptionally nurturing and is often found caring for a stuffed “baby”.
Rehoming fee: $2,000 each reflects their proven working ability, temperament, and quality lineage. Serious inquiries only, please. Thank you so much

Posted May 13, 2026, Colorado T23 Octavia | Female | 31" | 135 lbs | Available June. Octavia was our pick of the litter. Unfortunately she developed a condition that precluded her from being bred, which will resolve by being spayed. She is a gentle giant in every sense — steady, deliberate, and quietly devoted. She will walk slowly beside you as if to offer support. She takes her guardian work seriously: Guards goats and poultry, Small dog and cat friendly, Housetrained; enjoys time inside, older children and adults, but is able to be independent, Self-loads and rides well in the car, High-middle pack rank; defers to dominant dogs but would assume leadership if needed
$2,500 — available June following spay and gastropexy recovery
T23 Arcos | Male | 30" | 115 lbs | Neutered | Available Now Arcos returned to us earlier this year when his family's circumstances changed — through no fault of his own. He lives up to the breed standard in every way and has a particular gift for loving the young, both two- and four-legged. If you need a dog who will watch over your children and your livestock with equal devotion, Arcos is your dog. He requires at least one other LGD companion and prefers to sleep inside.
-Experienced with goat kids, poultry, and horses, Small dog and cat friendly, Housetrained; prefers sleeping inside, Self-loads and rides well in the car, Moves smoothly through a pack — neither dominant nor submissive, Neutered, gastropexy performed, microchipped, current on vaccines
$2,500 — available now
About Our Dogs—- Both T23 Octavia and T23 Arcos come from working lines and have been raised with goats and poultry from the start. They are not just guardians — they know what it means to be part of a farm and a family. We are committed to placing them where they can continue that work. They get along well and could function as a team.
Please reach out — we are happy to answer questions about temperament, history, or placement fit. Tierhaus 23 Elbert, CO…. Lindsey 510-910-3762 Tierhaus23@gmail.com
POSTED APRIL 28,2026 - CO. Meet Turk! He’s a G5 male from our litter MBK Hendrix of BOS x MAR Hazey of BOS, litter # BOS025LIT1CMDR, DOB 8/16/25. Turk was with a sweet family whose situation changed and they were no longer able to keep him.
For the first four months that Turk was with us, he was raised outside alongside sheep, chickens, and cows. While he was with his first family he was likely more indoors than outdoors. The family reported standard puppy behaviors. He’s been back with us over a week and while he’s house trained and crate trained, he has been loving being outside with our other dogs including one of his littermates. He has done well sharing a fenceline with sheep, chickens and cows. We will begin to introduce him directly to livestock in the next few days for further evaluation.
At 8 months old, Turk is ~27-28” at the withers. He got his long legs from his sire (Hendrix is ~31” at 20 mo) and his stockiness from him dam (she’s ~25” at maturity, but thicker). Turk is microchipped and current on shots. $1,650. Contact Susan at bossybootsranch@gmail.com for more pictures and details.

POSED April 28,2025 - PA. G4 CMDR – FCF Sunny
Sunny is a sweet, affectionate girl looking for the perfect home where she can spend lots of time with her person or family, while also enjoying part-time life on the farm with another LGD and livestock.
She absolutely loves people, cuddling on the couch, and sharing a warm bed at night. Sunny has wonderful therapy-dog tendencies and has spent most of her first year as a beloved companion. More recently, she has started showing interest in working alongside our other CMDRs with livestock. Since this is still new to her, she is learning the ropes, but she is already doing wonderfully with goats of all ages — from newborn kids to adults — and also has experience around poultry and pigs. She would thrive with a confident LGD mentor to continue building her confidence and skills.

SOLD Posted April 6, 2026. Colorado — FAFO Stormcrow is a year and a half, small single dews,G3, DNA clear by parentage, and a gorgeous sweet dog. He is in with my Kiko bucks, but was not raised with goats, and could be a companion, non-guardian, or a perimeter guardian. He was raised as a pet. He is intact, and is almost 30 inches at the shoulder, and growing. He’d be a great fixed guardian. He does great penned, doesn’t challenge fences. Storm is so chill, game for anything, easy to handle, walks on a leash, and is a gorgeous dog who makes people say wow. $2450 wendyjfrancisco@gmail.com 970-623-0598, www.crackonoonfarms.com
Posted March 25, 2026 — Colorado. TJH Aya and TJH Bodhi are great siblings, and amazing farm dogs. At 6.5 years they are slowing down a bit, but they still bark and fight at night, and take their role seriously.
Sired by Glenn Storm and Sophie, they have great genes, but were never registered. They have been around chicken, horses, goats, and more, without issue. They are great characters, and I hate to part with them. Both are fixed.
As these dogs approach their last third of life, they deserve someone that can afford them the best medical care. We have been lucky so far with little to no issues, but Bodhis hips have always bothered him, he shakes it off. These are amazing animals, they love and protect." eric.turnerridge@gmail.com
POSTED MARCH 10,2026 Colorado — After long consideration, I’ve made the decision to place several exceptional dogs in new homes. It’s not a step I take lightly. Most of the goats they are guarding will be leaving by the end of April, as I am no longer operating the farm share goat dairy.
I therefore will have five or six CMDs realistically, who will be out of a job also. All of these dogs are breeding candidates and are intact. G3s Omen, Reishi, and Baron, G4 TMF Ingrid (a classic CMD, our first “Caspian Mountain Dog”), and even our all-star mom G2 MMC. Anastasia have been raised with intention, integrity, and an immense amount of love. They are not just working dogs — they are partners and pieces of my heart that I am committed to doing right by. If you think you can offer any one or pair of these dogs a good working home in a loving family, please reach out and we can share ideas and make a plan together.
If you're looking for a working team, or a young breeding pair with amazing potential, Ingrid and Omen would make a great team, or Ingridand Baron. All three are experienced with goats and at a year and a half old are soon to be fully trained. They still need playmates though, so I'm not having them with the goats unsupervised at this point. They have been introduced to poultry briefly and did well. Anna is turning six this year and she and Reishi (mother + daughter, also 18 months old) also make a great team. Both are excellent with the goats and sheep, though Anna is not poultry safe. I have Embark results for all dogs except Baron at this point.
The MMC line is taller than most, with a high work drive, excellent behavior with children and visitors, and many having some leash and obedience training. Reishi and Omen are good in the house, and though Anna travels well and does fantastic on trips to restaurants and town like most LGDs she is happiest outside with a lot of acreage to work. Anna has had two litters. As an Alpha female she will not tolerate other females in general in her working area, nor will her daughter, though they are good together. Omen has some nausea in cars, but loves to do obedience lessons, and Ingrid so far despises collars, leashes, and cars and requires some anti-nausea meds to travel. All dogs respect fences and are familiar with electric lines, so do not climb or jump, though Baron will push, and Anna will dig.

SOLD — POSTED March 7, 2026. Missouri — Colorado Mountain Dog (CMD) 5 year old male livestock guardian, Ranger. Chuck Norris son. We are looking for the right home for Ranger, our 5 year old intact male Colorado Mountain Dog. Ranger is a true working livestock guardian with excellent instincts. He has been raised with birds of all sizes, from chickens to ostrich, and has proven himself trustworthy and protective. He has successfully chased off packs of coyotes and kept wild dogs off our property. He takes his job seriously and loves being on patrol. He is very active and needs space and purpose. Ranger gets bored easily without a job, so he would do best on acreage with livestock and or other guardian dogs. He thrives with other dogs and does well with dogs of all sizes. We believe he would benefit from working alongside other guardians. Ranger is friendly and affectionate with his people and enjoys coming inside, but he also loves being outdoors doing his job. While he is friendly, he has an intimidating presence to outside visitors, which makes him an excellent guardian. Important: Ranger is afraid of loud noises such as thunder and will attempt to escape fencing during storms (finds weak spots but does not climb). A very secure fencing setup and or experience with livestock guardian breeds is strongly recommended. We are committed to finding him the right working home where he can thrive and continue doing what he was bred to do. Please message with details about your property, livestock, and guardian experience. $1,000. Erica. Jasper mo. Ph. 916-365-6595
>SOLD< POSTED FEB 18, 2026 - Colorado *T23 RiverJoy of STHH* is a G3 Colorado Mountain Dog and one of the most dedicated guardians on our homestead. River is our strongest patrol dog. In all her time here, she has only cleared a 4-foot fence once — and that was to tree a mountain lion by herself. She does not test fences otherwise and is excellent with chickens, pigs, dogs, and goats. She enjoys the company of other dogs but can be somewhat of a loner. River is extremely low maintenance — the kind of dog you sometimes forget is there because she quietly and faithfully does her job. She is house trained and enjoys coming inside for snuggles, but she is equally content staying outdoors. River has an intimidating presence with strangers, but if they only knew — she truly loves people and would happily cuddle everyone. She walks beautifully on leash and is trained to a GPS collar. Her happiest place is roaming the property and sleeping on the porch while keeping watch for any potential threats. She gets along with female dogs but would be best suited in a home with a male companion. River will be available April 15 after she is spayed and has a gastropexy. She has clean DNA and an excellent hip family history. This girl is a true gem. *$2,500* Located in Hot Sulphur Springs, CO Toni Harms 970-531-1325
Meet Greta, a 3 year old female spayed G4 CMD. (GHH) Greta is great with goats, chickens and ducks. I imagine she would be great with cows and horses but we have not had her around them.
We have a few German Shepard's and she's great with other dogs male and female. Greta barks as she should when she hears sounds and neighbors that are in our close proximity back yard, however, being the only livestock dog is an issue - as she really needs another to have back up. We have a very small homestead and Greta needs more acreage than we can provide for her, and we feel she's better suited to do the job she's great at, which is alerting us to any activity around the farm.
She is the absolute most loving and gentle dog we have ever owned. We have spent a lot of time with her and she is trained with basic commands, leash trained, house trained and loves cars rides.
Greta is electric fence / GPS collar trained, no climbing or digging.
She does come inside a night and stays in our mudroom- although she would be fine with other dogs/ goats in a barn.
She is wonderful with all people, adults and children. She would make a wonderful family dog and or livestock dog for a farm that has a lot of space/ acreage outdoors. She would NOT do well in a neighborhood with proximity to neighbors with lots of loud noises.
She Barks! She needs space. If you have any predator issues- she’s excellent at alerting !
Great has Dew claws on her rear legs and she's a big girl at 110 lbs. She is up to date with all her vaccines and very well mannered. If you are interested in Greta - please reach out to Dawn Fusco at 860-209-8142 or dawnfusco@comcast.net

SOLD — Posted Dec 14, 2025 — Colorado — Meet FDM Bowser of STHH, a G5 CMDR Colorado Mountain Dog. - Born March, 2024
Bowser is an absolute dream of a dog. He has never met a person he didn’t love and greets everyone—children and adults alike—with a wagging tail and a happy smile. He is equally kind and respectful with other animals, making him a true gentle giant.
Bowser works full-time with goats and takes his job seriously, but he also enjoys human companionship and happily accepts a few snuggles whenever they’re offered. Standing approximately 31 inches tall and weighing around 120 pounds, he is tall, lean, and well-built.
He is fence-respecting, stays close to home when turned out, and only barks when there is a legitimate threat. Bowser has a naturally calm, steady temperament and is very much a “bottom-of-the-pack” kind of guy. He will thrive in a home with another dog, as he looks to canine companions for guidance and tends to mirror their behavior.
Bowser has excellent DNA results, excellent hip radiographs, and is up to date on all vaccinations. He is scheduled to be neutered before he travels to his new home. $2500
