Available Adult CMDR Colorado Mountain Dogs
Some breeders offer fully trained adults CMD guardians, some people have life changes and need to rehome adult dogs, and some people have dogs that don’t fit in their situations, but who may flourish in another setting. Posts should specify these details. An experienced guardian has value, and placing a healthy price on your dog helps ensure his next home will value and be able to care for him or her. Posts are $25, last 3 months, and can be purchased in our store. Then email a quality photo, descriptions, and your contact info to: coloradomountaindogs@gmail.com

POSTED JULY 4th, 2025 Wisconsin. This is Radar, he was born on October 17, 2024 from NWF Antigone of BMF (G4) and HWH Newt of BMF (G4). He is a purebred 8 month old boy who is excellent with goats, but needing more training with poultry. He is also incredible with other people, visitors, and lots of kids all at once. He is eager to learn, friendly, a great big brother to the puppies, and always happy. Radar loves car rides, hates water, is happy sleeping outside, and has been trained by his dad, Newt around the goats. Radar had originally started training as a therapy dog and definitely has the temperament for it, but we didn’t have the time to continue to train him with that. Radar has a 0.52% COI and a 80.43% AVK and would be an excellent breeder. He has a beautiful coat, big paws, long legs, a gentle temperament, and is big. Right now he is already bigger than HWH Newt of BMF, and is at least 90lbs - he should keep growing until he’s about 2.5 years old. We are planning on getting Radar fixed next week but if there is any interest in him as a breeder, we will put that on hold. We had originally decided to breed him, but after further consideration of our breeding goals, we decided to keep a female from our most recent litter instead. For more information, please text or email me, Laura. (406)600-7480 bmfarm.lw@gmail.com Radar is $2000 due to the training he has received, but if you would like buy him and a puppy from our more recent litter both Radar and the other pup would be $3000.00 Radar is an excellent pack member and mentor dog with goats for the pups. POSTED June 24, 2025, Colorado - MBYR Asriel Valentine is a 2 year old, G3, gorgeous, intact, male, Colorado Mountain Dog. He has been a stud for us here at OUM and produced some incredible offspring. Asriel had initial hip and elbow X-rays, and genetic health testing. He is an amazing livestock guardian dog. He barks appropriately, doesn’t challenge fences, and loves his livestock & people. He has worked with both goats and alpacas. Asriel tore his ACL last winter. He had TTA surgery and has done beautifully with his rehab. Asriel is the full lgd package and will do a wonderful job as a general farm dog or traditional lgd (but with lots of human attention). SOLD — POSTED JUNE 22, 2025. Colorado. OUM Ophelia of T23 born 5/22/24 G2 registered CMD. In search of someone in need of a sidekick. While Opi excels at guarding her goats, turkeys, horses, cats, and a small dog, she will truly be an outstanding companion. She is house trained and enjoys eating in her monster sized crate. She is a very discerning barker. She sleeps beside my bed and she is the best snooze prevention when it is time to get going in the morning. She loads and rides well in the car. She would do best with a more submissive dog companion or I think she would be ok as a solo dog as a companion for someone who works at home. She will be available in mid July after she is spayed and has a gastropexy. $2,000 Please contact Lindsey at Tierhaus23@gmail.com or 510-910-3762
POSTED June 20, 2025 - COLORADO SRR Copper of RCF - Proven 4th Generation Colorado Mountain Dog stud and exceptional LGD. We are offering our four-year-old, intact male for sale to the right home. This is a 4th generation CMD, bred for excellence, and he truly embodies everything the breed is known for; loyalty, intelligence, and calm yet protective instincts. Experienced homestead guardian in the mountains of the Front Range, Copper is 4 years old, born 27 October 2021. He is steady, reliable, and exceptionally well-mannered. Proven stud who successfully sired a healthy liter of G4s. He is gentle, friendly and patient with kids of all ages.
Copper is an excellent guardian for goats, chickens, pigs and is great with other dogs. He has been around free range chickens on our farm, and he respects and protects his flock. He barks only when there’s a reason; to ward off predators or alert if a strange dog comes on to the property, no unnecessary barking. He is electric fence trained when you need to keep him contained, but can also easily be walked on a leash for trips to the vet.
This dog is a working LGD with a large beautiful build and strong CMD lineage (RLT Manitou x CNK Anise). He’s been raised around livestock and children, and is trustworthy both in the field and around the family. Whether you're looking to add a proven sire to your breeding program or a reliable guardian for your homestead, he checks all the boxes. He has been DNA tested with Embark, results can be provided upon request.
Asking $2,150 (including possible transport). Serious inquiries only. We are committed to finding him a home that understands and values working dogs. Please contact Robert at 719-205-7186 or email farmerrk77@gmail.com.

POSTED May 17th, 2025, COLORADO We have had so many wonderful dogs and a variety of animals over the course of 40 years but unfortunately, due to health reasons, we need to look for greener pastures for both of our doggies. Large acreage that needs to be protected would be ideal for Zora and Zeus as they work as a pair. Zeus is a male age 5, a Colorado Mountain dog weighing in at 150 lbs, could ward off any large prey animal. He is fixed and up to date on all shots. Zeus prefers to sleep outside but now sleeps inside our home with Zora. His buddy, Zora is a female age 7 and she is 95lbs.. She is also fixed and up to date with shots and a Great Pyrenees mix, but we do not know for sure. Our dogs have had some exposure to goats but did not do well with chickens, nor cats.
We are in Durango CO and can make arrangements for the delivery of our wonderful dogs to the right forever home. We are asking for $300.00 each and would be willing to negotiate for the right home if you take both. 928-231-0935 funnski@hotmail.com Mike Adams
POSTED MAY 9,2025, COLORADO. CMDR Registration # TOF024F0003G4 1 year old Lightning is going to be a tough one to let go. Past her juvenile stages, she is maturing into a heavenly example of a Timber of Fennario line CMD . Serious, compliant, loving, she will round out any established working farm's LGDs, or be one of the new beginnings of your pack. Either way she would do best living with multiple dogs. She is currently unaltered, but we do not recommend her in a breeding program due to incomplete pigmentation of one eye. This does not affect her health or function in any way. $1000 with full lifetime health guarantee and lifetime breeder support. See her webpage and heritage at www.shawnasdoglife.com/dstlazylightning. Call or text 303-968-6691 email shawnasdavies80113@gmail.com. Located in Evergreen CO.

SOLD - POSTED April 6, 2025 - CONNECTICUT Meet Greta, a 2 year old female spayed G4 CMD. Greta is great with goats, chickens and ducks. I imagine she would be great with cows and horses but we have not had her around them.
With a heavy heart and to no fault of her own, we have decided re-homing Greta due to our small acreage homestead and due to her sensitivity to loud sounds and noises in our residential area that set her off barking. We have a few German Shepard's and she's great with other dogs male and female. Greta barks as she should when she hears sounds and neighbors that are in our close proximity back yard, however, being the only livestock dog is an issue - as she really needs another to have back up. We have a very small homestead and Greta needs more acreage than we can provide for her.
She is the absolute most loving and gentle dog we have ever owned. We have spent a lot of time with her and she is trained with basic commands, leash trained, house trained and loves cars rides.
Greta is electric fence / GPS collar trained, no climbing or digging.
She does come inside a night and stays in our mudroom- although she would be fine with other dogs in a barn.
She is wonderful with all people, adults and children. She would make a wonderful family / livestock dog for a farm that has a lot of space/ acreage outdoors. She would NOT do well in a neighborhood with proximity to neighbors with lots of loud noises.
Great has Dew claws on her rear legs and she's a big girl at 110 lbs. She is up to date with all her vaccines and very well mannered. If you are interested in Greta - please reach out to Dawn Fusco at 860-209-8142 or dawnfusco@comcast.net

SOLD — SRC Altaïr of PAWD (G2), age 6, and PAWD Cloud (G3), age 2, are in need of a new flock to guard. They are a working and bonded pair, so I would like to keep them together. This grandsire and grandson are the most loving poultry guardians! They have protected against bear, mountain lion, fox, coyote, skunk, and raccoon. Altaïr also loves cattle and goats. Cloud will likely do well with them also, but has not had much experience with them. Both are intact and proven CMDR studs producing amazing pups. If it weren’t for a severe health crisis I am dealing with, these boys would spend the rest of their lives right here at Pawsable Dreams Vista. Sadly, we are instead looking for a loving ranch to put them to work. $1500 for both, to a loving home. Pawd@taylortime.net Or facebook - @PAWDVista
POSTED MARCH 3, 2025 - COLORADO Intact G2 Male Located in Peyton CO. Almost 3 years old (born May 30, 2022). Francis is such a lover and happy spirit. He does very well when visitors come but has shown to be protective when needed! Francis comes from amazing lines- Great grandson of Caspian, Grandson of Aslan, son of Little Bear. He has tested all clear with a wisdom panel but hasn’t been tested for CT at this point. He is proven with an amazing litter in May 2024 with Sprinkles of KFF which produced amazing pups!! Francis is all white & short haired & he does have single dew claws. Francis stands at 31 inches tall from floor to withers and he has a lot of lean muscle! He is wonderful with chickens, ducks, turkeys, goats, cats, other dogs. His best friend at his previous farm was a goat. He does good with horses as long as they are gentle with the other livestock. He hasn’t been around pigs or cows at this time but I imagine he would do well as long as he is introduced gently. We are rehoming him because at this point we would like to expand our program using his daughter and we want to make sure no oopsie litters occur which would be easiest to ensure if he’s working at a new farm. We are hopeful that he will either be able to provide genetics to another breeding program or be a wonderful LGD for a farm. We would consider him being a companion dog for a VERY active family that would have a yard with a tall fence. This sweet boy has been Kennel trained but we recommend having at least an XXL kennel so he has plenty of room. He’s high energy but has been very gentle with all our kids including the small ones! Francis is not food aggressive with females but does need to eat separate from other males. When he first arrived to our house at 18 months old there were a couple times he tried to show his dominance against our larger dominant fixed male and lost. Since then he has done great as long as they never eat by each other. He has been indoors quite a bit and is mostly house trained but primarily has not been indoors. Francis only respects fences taller than 5 feet. That said, we only have 3 acres and when he has jumped a shorter fence he stays close and protects the yard and animals. He would do best on a property with tall fencing or with more acreage than we have! $1500. Please contact Christy at 719-217-5659 or christysue1996@gmail.com for more info!
