Available Adult CMDR Colorado Mountain Dogs
Some breeders offer fully trained adults CMD guardians, some people have life changes and need to rehome adult dogs, and some people have dogs that don’t fit in their situations, but who may flourish in another setting. Posts should specify these details. An experienced guardian has value, and placing a healthy price on your dog helps ensure his next home will value and be able to care for him or her. Posts are $25, last 3 months, and can be purchased in our store. Then email a quality photo, descriptions, and your contact info to: coloradomountaindogs@gmail.com
Posted July 31, 2025, Wyoming G4 “Harmony” is my go anywhere, do anything, happy go lucky, leaning, super friendly, flops for belly rubs, beautiful ABF Aria Grande. Although she isn’t my tallest female, she has the self cleaning, silky fur that is so easy to maintain. She has single dews. This dog has NEVER challenged ANYONE. She has never questioned me and always readily accepts whatever I ask her to do. Usually, she knows what I need without me asking her. She is straight forward, second in command to Perrin, highly intuitive, polite, affectionate and a wonderful kidding dog. She has been with my lambs, my turkeys, my chickens and goats of all ages. She has been flawless. She prefers working closer to her home base. Embark tested clear except for 1 copy CT. Harmony is very intuitive. She knows what is in your heart and is eager to offer her support. She has been perfect for taking to kids camps or outings where she is able to be a CMDR liaison. She is an 80 year old woman stuck in a dog body. Harmony is looking for the perfect home with a family who has children or someone who will take her all the places. Please don’t misread this, she LOVES working with her stock and is superior. She just shouldn’t be the dog you stick out on the back fourth and ignore. She wants to be part of …everything. She will happily be your hiking/camping companion or your serious protector for your livestock. $2500 Please contact Anne Larson at 307-286-7975 (call or text) or email anne@wyopineranch.com

POSTED JULY 4th, 2025 Wisconsin. This is Radar, he was born on October 17, 2024 from NWF Antigone of BMF (G4) and HWH Newt of BMF (G4). He is a purebred 8 month old boy who is excellent with goats, but needing more training with poultry. He is also incredible with other people, visitors, and lots of kids all at once. He is eager to learn, friendly, a great big brother to the puppies, and always happy. Radar loves car rides, hates water, is happy sleeping outside, and has been trained by his dad, Newt around the goats. Radar had originally started training as a therapy dog and definitely has the temperament for it, but we didn’t have the time to continue to train him with that. Radar has a 0.52% COI and a 80.43% AVK and would be an excellent breeder. He has a beautiful coat, big paws, long legs, a gentle temperament, and is big. Right now he is already bigger than HWH Newt of BMF, and is at least 90lbs - he should keep growing until he’s about 2.5 years old. We are planning on getting Radar fixed next week but if there is any interest in him as a breeder, we will put that on hold. We had originally decided to breed him, but after further consideration of our breeding goals, we decided to keep a female from our most recent litter instead. For more information, please text or email me, Laura. (406)600-7480 bmfarm.lw@gmail.com Radar is $2000 due to the training he has received, but if you would like buy him and a puppy from our more recent litter both Radar and the other pup would be $3000.00 Radar is an excellent pack member and mentor dog with goats for the pups. POSTED June 24, 2025, Colorado - MBYR Asriel Valentine is a 2 year old, G3, gorgeous, intact, male, Colorado Mountain Dog. He has been a stud for us here at OUM and produced some incredible offspring. Asriel had initial hip and elbow X-rays, and genetic health testing. He is an amazing livestock guardian dog. He barks appropriately, doesn’t challenge fences, and loves his livestock & people. He has worked with both goats and alpacas. Asriel tore his ACL last winter. He had TTA surgery and has done beautifully with his rehab. Asriel is the full lgd package and will do a wonderful job as a general farm dog or traditional lgd (but with lots of human attention). Serious inquiries only please. $1500 (970)409-2152 vanessalwoodson@yahoo.com
SOLD — POSTED JUNE 22, 2025. Colorado. OUM Ophelia of T23 born 5/22/24 G2 registered CMD. In search of someone in need of a sidekick. While Opi excels at guarding her goats, turkeys, horses, cats, and a small dog, she will truly be an outstanding companion. She is house trained and enjoys eating in her monster sized crate. She is a very discerning barker. She sleeps beside my bed and she is the best snooze prevention when it is time to get going in the morning. She loads and rides well in the car. She would do best with a more submissive dog companion or I think she would be ok as a solo dog as a companion for someone who works at home. She will be available in mid July after she is spayed and has a gastropexy. $2,000 Please contact Lindsey at Tierhaus23@gmail.com or 510-910-3762
SOLD - POSTED June 20, 2025 - COLORADO SRR Copper of RCF - Proven 4th Generation Colorado Mountain Dog stud and exceptional LGD. We are offering our four-year-old, intact male for sale to the right home. This is a 4th generation CMD, bred for excellence, and he truly embodies everything the breed is known for; loyalty, intelligence, and calm yet protective instincts. Experienced homestead guardian in the mountains of the Front Range, Copper is 4 years old, born 27 October 2021. He is steady, reliable, and exceptionally well-mannered. Proven stud who successfully sired a healthy liter of G4s. He is gentle, friendly and patient with kids of all ages.
Copper is an excellent guardian for goats, chickens, pigs and is great with other dogs. He has been around free range chickens on our farm, and he respects and protects his flock. He barks only when there’s a reason; to ward off predators or alert if a strange dog comes on to the property, no unnecessary barking. He is electric fence trained when you need to keep him contained, but can also easily be walked on a leash for trips to the vet.
This dog is a working LGD with a large beautiful build and strong CMD lineage (RLT Manitou x CNK Anise). He’s been raised around livestock and children, and is trustworthy both in the field and around the family. Whether you're looking to add a proven sire to your breeding program or a reliable guardian for your homestead, he checks all the boxes. He has been DNA tested with Embark, results can be provided upon request.
Asking $2,150 (including possible transport). Serious inquiries only. We are committed to finding him a home that understands and values working dogs. Please contact Robert at 719-205-7186 or email farmerrk77@gmail.com.
