Tierhaus 23 is located in Elbert, Colorado. Founded in 2023, we raise Colorado Mountain Dogs, Angora and Nigora goats, Hedemora chickens, and heritage turkeys. We started with a pup, CCH Cadsuane, and an adult mentor, SCF Sasha. We quickly realized that Sasha needed backup to guard the goats, and we added DITR Cleo. Cleo came to us bred, so we dove right into raising puppies. With the help of friends and family we produced a litter of well rounded pups, socialized with adults, children, and livestock. We retained 2 stud candidates, T23 Roque and T23 Daxo. In June we added STHH Legend, a gorgeous blue pup whom we also have high hopes for as a stud candidate.
Health testing is very important to our program, our breeding dogs are DNA tested through Embark and undergo Pennhip testing to ensure hip health, as well as OFA elbows in the younger generations. This type of testing is strongly recommended within the Colorado Mountain Dog Registry to ensure the health and longevity of our dogs. It is important to me that any lines that include T23 genetics also adopt a similar philosophy. Breeding candidates will be evaluated for temperment, conformation, health and orthopedic soundness.
Our studs, T23 Roque and STHH Legend of T23 have a number of upcoming pairings that I am very excited about. Please visit our website for more information about these litters. I am happy to connect interested homes with our partner breeders.

The Residents
CCH Cadsuane of T23 is our matriarch. She governs the farm with the help of T23 Daxo. Both are neuter/spayed, which I find lends some stability to our pack. One of Caddie's best talents is her ability to teach the rest of the pack how to defend against aerial predators, even down to our Shih Tzu.
Our two studs are T23 Roque and STHH Legend of T23. Roque is an observer, but he is always on the front lines if there is a perceived threat. He is a large presence, standing at 30" and 110 lbs. Not to mention he is gorgeous and a gentleman with people.
STHH Legend is still an adolescent, but is alway a joy to meet. He is enthusiastic and friendly to all people.
Both boys are excellent with goats and turkeys, and they share a fence line with the horses.
Our female breeding candidates are OUM Ophelia and T23 Octavia. They will both be undergoing testing this spring. If all goes as planned we will be pairing Opi with an outside stud this fall. Octavia will be bred in 2026 to HFR Grover of OUM.

Our Farm Projects
We have our foundation stock of Nigerian Dwarf Bucks and Angora Does. We will be expecting our F1 kids starting in mid April. We shear the Angoras twice a year and send their fiber to a fiber mill in northern CO. We will have the fiber processed into yarn, which I have for sale. I also have heritage turkeys which I use for poultry introduction for our puppies.
