Explanations:
Farm Names and Letters: Breeder Farm Names can be registered with the Colorado Mountain Dog Registry, and each farm chooses three or four letters or numbers, as their farm initials. These initials will appear at the front of all puppies born at your farm. The farm prefixes are permanent, never change, and always show the birthplace of your CMDR puppies! Farm letters may also be added as a suffix, to the names of registered dogs purchased from other farms, and brought to your farm. Suffixes may be changed when dog ownership changes.
CMDR Litter Registration: When pups are registered, litters are given a litter registration number, and we keep a separate litter registration database.
Dog Registration, Transfer, or Edit: All CMDR dogs have individual registration numbers beginning with farm letter prefixes. Additionally, Transfers may be made for new owners, and edits may be made to correct mistakes, or add farm letter suffixes or change names (as long as the dog has not been bred).
