MBK — Mountain Breeze Kennels
My husband and I, along with my mother who came to live with us in 2017, live in the San Luis Valley in south central Colorado. The SLV is the largest fully enclosed alpine valley in the world and is mostly agricultural, growing potatoes, wheat, barley, canola and various types of hay. The valley also has many cattle ranchers, as well as sheep and goats herds.
We live a few miles west of Alamosa, on 6 acres of land. We have had chickens, geese and ducks for over 15 years, and now have 15 geese, 7 ducks, 30 chickens, 1 indoor cat and 2 outdoor cats. I also raise AKC German Shorthaired Pointers.
After years of predator attacks, I decided to look into better protection for my livestock. That’s when I stumbled across the Colorado Mountain Dogs on Wendy Francisco’s website. We brought home our first CMDs, CNK Raina and CNK Hyla, and fell in love with these amazing dogs!! In August of 2022, Mountain Breeze Kennels, Ltd was born! I then purchased 3 registered Nigerian Dwarf goats, Galaxy, Tinkerbell and Juniper, to continue training my girls. In August of 2023, we brought TOF Talia home, another beautiful girl that also comes from service dog lines, to add to our pack. Since I will be breeding CMDR Colorado Mountain Dogs, we decided to bring in T23 Ajax, a beautiful sweet boy, as a potential stud dog. All of my CMDs are 3rd generation at this time.
I am planning a breeding this spring with CNK Hyla to have our first litter of G4 pups at Mountain Breeze Kennels!!
